Assault Weapons, Ammo Seized In King Investigation

A water operations manager with the Tuolumne Utilities District is slated to be in court again today.

Possession of assault weapons and as much as 50-thousand rounds of ammunition is why 43-year-old James Stuart King was re-arrested Friday by the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Department. He was released after posting 5-thousand dollars bail.

King was first arrested March 19th, on counts of having sex with a minor. At that time, officials also found boxes of steroids and syringes, and King surrendered fourteen handguns and rifles in accordance with a court restraining order.

However, officials got word that King had stashed more weapons in Twain Harte at a friend´s house. Fourteen more guns, including ten banned assault weapons and automatic weapon conversion kits were confiscated.

King is scheduled to appear in Tuolumne County Superior Court, to ask the weapons he turned in last month be given back to him.
