Forest Service: Campsites to Open Soon

54 developed campgrounds and over 14-hundred campsites will soon be open for summer recreation at the Stanislaus National Forest.

Forest Supervisor Tom Quinn says improved efficiency and new partnerships have helped to ensure the beginning of a promising summer camping season.

Volunteers and partners are once again teaming up with Forest Service officials, to maintain the campgrounds, and patrol the trails.

Visitors are encouraged to contact a local Ranger Station for the latest information on conditions and the best spots for a campout.
