2 Acres Burned in Jacksonville Rd Fire

At least ten fire units contained an afternoon brush fire on Jacksonville Road at the entrance to Moccasin Point Marina.

Dispatchers say the blaze began in some trash, and spread to a travel trailer and a nearby barn, both of which burned. The blaze also burned two acres of grass and brush.

Eight fire engines from CDF and two more from Tuolumne County Fire were on the scene Thursday afternoon.

The breezy afternoon apparently contributed to the spread of the fire.
