Marijuana Plants Destroyed Near Buck Meadows

Sheriff´s Department Investigators have made their first marijuana raid of the season.

Nearly 17-hundred plants were destroyed Friday after they were found near Buck Meadows in the Stanislaus National Forest.

Investigators say the pot garden had been fertilized, sprayed with pesticide, and even had an irrigation system.

Deputies also made two arrests in connection with the marijuana. 30-year-old Hermelando Hernandez Ruiz and a 16-year-old boy, both from Mexico, and each being held in lieu of 100-thousand dollars jail.
