Roommate Problems In White Pines Lead To Battery Charge

White Pines, CA — A White Pines woman is recovering from injuries after an altercation with her former roommate last night.

Calaveras County Sheriff´s Deputies say they were called to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital to take a report of a battery from 27-year-old Ivory Qualls.

Deputies say Qualls told them 25-year-old Joshua Horn physically assaulted her by pushing her and then picking her up and slamming her down across her back onto his knee, then pushing her down onto her head.

Deputies then went to the White Pines home and arrested Horn for battery. The matter has been referred to the Calaveras County District Attorney for prosecution.
