East Sonora Home Sustains Damage In Evening Fire

Sonora, CA — An East Sonora home is heavily damaged following a structure fire last night.

Officials say crews responded to the home of Chris Robinson on Curtis Circle just before 8:00. A total of six engines were dispatched along with one water tender.

The two-story single family home sustained an estimated $250,000 in damage with about $300,000 saved. Robinson is the lead fire mechanic for the Tuolumne County Fire Department.

Investigators determined the cause to be a flu fire.
