Tuolumne County Supervisors To Formalize Resource Conservation District

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors is scheduled to adopt a resolution formalizing the organization of the new Tuolumne County Resource Conservation District.

County voters approved the formation of the district November 8th. The district makes grant money available to landowners within the county for various improvement projects such as wildfire mitigation and irrigation projects among others.

The board will also consider issuing a commendation to County Farm Advisor Jay Norton for his efforts in the formation of the district.

The meeting gets underway at 9:00 this morning in the board chambers on South Green Street in Sonora.
