Mariposa, CA — A fire that threatened some homes over the weekend in Mariposa County is now fully contained.
The Hunters Fire ignited late Sunday afternoon and burned 85 acres. It forced the mandatory evacuation of some homes along Hunters Valley Road near Detwiler Road. Columbia air resources responded. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
