San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Sheriff´s Office has a Valley Springs woman in custody on charges of first degree murder.
Reports say deputies were called to a residence on Evergreen Road just before 10:30 last night in response to a shooting incident.
Deputies say a preliminary investigation indicated that 66-year-old Janet Casey had allegedly shot and killed her husband 75-year-old Frank Casey.
Janet Casey was reportedly arrested at the scene and booked into Calaveras County Jail on $750,000 bail.
Authorities are not releasing any further information at this time as the matter is under investigation.
