House Destroyed By Flames Estimated At $2.4 Million

Copperopolis, CA — Fire investigators are now saying a home under construction that was consumed by fire in the pre-dawn hours of yesterday was worth about $2.4 million.

Authorities say the water front home in Connor Estates belongs to Randy Furr of Pleasanton.

Firefighting crews arrived on scene at about 2:00 am to find the structure fully involved.

The blaze reportedly sparked two spot fires and did an unspecified amount of heat damage to five other houses and several vehicles in the area.

Ten engines from the Copperopolis Fire Protection District responded along with two hand crews and one bulldozer.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
