Tuolumne General Hospital Gains Approval For Budget

Sonora, CA — Tuolumne General Hospital has increased its revenue by expanding its contract with The Sierra Conservation Center.

Hospital Administrator Barry Woerman says the inmate services will generate more than $1,246,000 a year.

Woerman believes the success or failure of the hospital is critically dependant on generating and collecting revenue to offset the expenses of providing services, especially to indigent patients.

The Board of Supervisors has approved the 2005/2006 fiscal year budget and will be making more decisions regarding the hospital after it receives information and recommendations from the study done by the Lewin Group.
