Sheriff’s Deputies Lead Raids On Two Marijuana Growing Operations

Sonora, CA — Tuolumne County drug enforcement officers along with federal and state authorities are continuing their campaign to eradicate marijuana growing operations on publicly owned lands.

Robin Hunt with the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s office says two more operations were uprooted this week.

The first operation of about 5000 plants was seized by agents near Groveland Monday, while another seizure netted about 2000 more yesterday near Moccasin.

Hunt says the seizures were assisted by the Campaign Against Marijuana Planting, or CAMP, which is made up of both state and federal agents.
