Three Appeals Filed Against Lowes Decision

Sonora, CA — As promised, appeals to a recent Sonora City Planning Commission decision regarding a proposed Lowes Home Improvement Center are coming in.

Three appeals were filed with the city this week, including one by the group Citizens For Responsible Growth, which vowed to appeal the unanimous decision by the commission in support of the project.

The other appeals filed were from David Evans who owns a lighting store in Sonora and the group Voters Choice.

Citizens For Responsible Growth continues to maintain that the project demands environmental and economic impact reports as opposed to an existing negative declaration.

City officials are slated to set a date and time to discuss the appeals at a special City Council meeting Friday morning.
