Two Jamestown Men Hospitalized After Motorcycle Collision

Jamestown, CA — Two Jamestown men are hospitalized with serious injuries after a motorcycle collision early this morning.

CHP says 21-year-old Brandon McWilliam and 20-year-old Eric Carlson were drinking at McWilliam´s residence on Pulpit Rock Road when Carlson decided to go to his residence on Daly Drive at about 2:00.

Police say the two men then decided to go to each other´s houses by way of off-road motorcycles. CHP says the lack of lighting on either bike prevented the two from seeing each other and the two collided head-on near the center of Daly Drive.

The two were transported to Sonora Regional Hospital and are awaiting transfer to a hospital in Modesto.

Charges of DUI have been filed against McWilliams. Carlson will also face penalties for being under 21 and having alcohol in his system.
