Copperopolis, CA — Two Arnold men are in custody on several felony theft charges after it was determined that they were driving a stolen vehicle Saturday night.
Sheriff´s Deputies say they were called to an automobile accident on Highway 4 and Moran Road near Avery.
Reports indicate that when officers arrived on scene the driver of the vehicle was trying to hide in the bushes.
Officers say 28-year-old Jamey Maroney and 45-year-old Dennis Mitchell were arrested and booked into Calaveras County Jail.
The car was allegedly stolen from a 72-year-old man in Arnold.
