CHP Reports Quiet Holiday Weekend

Jamestown, CA — The California Highway Patrol is reporting an unusually quiet holiday weekend.

CHP spokesman Tom Wills says there was only a handful of vehicle accidents in the area over the three-day period.

He says there was only one injury out of 16 accidents and no fatalities . CHP also made five DUI arrests in the local area over the weekend.

Meanwhile Sergeant Robin Hunt of the Tuolumne County Sheriff´s Office says his agency tallied 7 DUI arrests while Deputies spent most of their time issuing citations for illegal fireworks.
