Today is Martin Luther King Junior Day. A celebration of the life of the civil rights and peace activist was held at St. Patrick´s Church in downtown Sonora yesterday afternoon. King, best known for his “I have a dream…” speech made on August 28th, 1963, was also an early and outspoken critic of the war in Vietnam.
Federal, State, County offices, schools and financial institutions will be closed.
