Highway 108 Reopens At Scene Of Fatal Crash

Highway 108 has reopened east of Obyrnes Ferry Road at the site of a triple fatal crash this morning.

The accident happened at about 9:45. Motorists travelling west from Sonora were diverted from Highway 108 to Highway 49 and then onto Highway 120 Westbound. CHP Officer Tom Wills says three people were killed in the two car collision . Two of the residents killed were travelling in a Honda sedan and the other fatal victim was in in a Toyota. A fourth victim was seriously injured and was evacuated by helicopter. She is reported to be in stable condition at a Modesto area hospital. The names of the three victims killed in the wreck have not yet been released.
