Mariposa, CA — The search has ended in the Mariposa County mountains for an 86-year-old man whose car was found April 21st stuck in mud and burned along Chowchilla Mountain Road.
An investigation into Doug Pearse´s disappearance is ongoing.
Pearse is well known around the area south of Yosemite, where he tutors kids and is known as “Grandpa Doug.”
Over the weekend the search for the man was doubled including bringing in seach crews from San Diego, and also Tuolumne County.
