Waterford, CA — Four men are dead after the SUV they were riding in collided head-on with a gravel truck on Highway 132 yesterday.
CHP says the crash closed a 2 1/2 mile stretch of the highway east of Waterford for more than 5 hours.
Investigators say the SUV veered across the center line into the path of the truck shortly after 8:30 in the morning.
The driver of the truck was uninjured. Authorities say the men in the SUV died instantly.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
