Comcast Contract & Police Department Refurbishing On City Council Agenda

Sonora, CA — The Sonora City Council will be reviewing the city audit and fhe audit for the Redevelopment Agency at its meeting this evening.

City Administrator Greg Applegate states that both audits are “squeaky clean.”

Presented to the City Council and the Board will be an agreement that has been reached after two years of negoations with Comcast for a new cable franchise agreement. Included in the five year agreement is a clause for a five year renewal with an additional five year renewal for a total of 15 years.

And plans will be discussed for expansion of the Police Department plus refurbishing the former P.G.& E. Service Center building located on School and Washington Streets for use by the department´s Patrol Division.

The bi-monthly City Council meeting starts at 5pm at 94 N. Washington St. and is open to the public.
