Sonora, CA — A two vehicle accident marred traffic at the intersection of Hwy 108 and Stockton Rd. Friday evening.
At 6:50, 48 year old Randall Beck of Fairfield was westbound on 108 when 38 year old Joseph McAfee, Jr. of Merced abruptly pulled into the intersection from Stockton Rd. Beck swerved to the left in attempting to avoid a collision but failed to do so and the vehicles impacted broadside. Beck´s vehicle then hit a metal electrical box and overturned.
Beck and his 52 year old passenger, Mercedes Beck, where transported to Tuolumne General Hospital with moderate injuries. McAfee and his passenger, 42 year old Elaine Padron of Merced, were transported to Sonora Regional Medical Center. They also suffered moderate injuries.
