Fire Season Closes This Morning

San Andreas, CA — The 2006 fire season officially comes to an end this morning at eight o´clock.

That simply means that burn permits are no longer needed and burning can be conducted 24 hours a day on “permissive” burn days. And this Monday, November the 20th, is a “permissive” burn day in both Tuolumne and Calaveras Counties.

Burn permits will not be needed until May of 2007.
