Sonora, CA — Services will be held this afternoon at two o´clock for 43 year old Jack Lawe at Christian Heights Church.
Lawe was killed a week ago Friday evening by 55 year old Joanne Dues who was driving drunk eastbound on Hwy 108 just west of the Sunshine Drive turnoff when she veered off the road, hit Lawe and then proceeded to her home.
She was followed to her home by acquaintances of Lawe who witnessed the hit-and-run and was arrested with a alcohol blood content of .24 which is three times the legal limit. Dues is facing charges of felony drunk driving, vehicular manslaughter and felony hit-and-run.
Flowers now mark the Hwy 108 location where Lawe was killed.
