Gold Rush Days In Columbia Offers A Whirlwind Of Knowledge

Columbia, CA– Columbia State Historic Park has done it again.

Saturday the park was filled with visitors eager to gain knowledge of the Gold Rush days in Columbia. There, park rangers and local merchants told stories of the “olden” days.

Candle dipping and gold panning were some of the heavily attended events. Several kids played in the blocked off street with wooden sticks and rings, learning some of the games played during the Gold Rush.

Families also enjoyed a wagon ride around the park as well as listening to a singer who played his guitar on the street. This event happens every second weekend of every month and all are invited to attend the free event.
