Recreational Trailer Destroyed By Fire

Sonora, CA — The recreational vehicle that caught fire at 2:40 Friday afternoon on Hwy 49 between Tuttletown and Rawhide has been deemed a total loss.

C.D.F. officials report the trailer suffered $16,000 damage. In addition, $5,000 worth of personal effects were also lost in the blaze that stalled traffic for an extended period of time.

The trailer was owned by Laurie Martinez of Modesto who told fire officials she heard a loud pop prior to the fire outbreak. No injuries were reported by officials.

Friday afternoon traffic was stalled for an extensive period of time.
