Better Breathers Club Benefits Those with a Variety of Chronic Lung Conditions

Sonora, CA — Sonora Regional Medical Center is offering a support group for people with chronic lung disease including asthma, COPD, chronic bronchitis, emphysema, pulmonary fibrosis and sarcoidosis.

The American Lung Association’s Better Breathers Club meets the second Wednesday every other month beginning January 11, 2017, at the Medical Center’s Pulmonary Rehabilitation clinic located at 19747 Greenley Road in Sonora.

Better Breathers Club is free of charge and offers patient-centered and community-based education and support for anyone living with chronic lung disease, along with their family and friends. Better Breathers Club aims to:

• Improve quality of life
• Provide disease-specific education
• Help patients and families understand basic concepts and techniques for pulmonary self-care and coping skills
• Educate patients and families on the care and treatments for chronic lung diseases
