Sonora, CA — Today is the deadline for the second half of property taxes due for 2005-2006.
County tax collectors will accept payments postmarked today or taken to their offices by 5PM. The annual taxes are roughly one percent of the assessed value of property. Half of the tax is due in December with the other half in April.
If you have any questions, you can contact your local tax assessment office. In Tuolumne County the number is 533-5544 and in Calaveras County it´s 754-6350.
