Angels Camp City Council Looks Into Fees

Angels Camp, CA – Developers in Angels Camp may have some fees added to their cost of doing business.

Tuesday the Angels Camp City Council asked staff to look into an in-lieu fee program that would give an alternative to developers who are required to make infrastructure improvements. They would be allowed to pay fees rather than construct the improvements themselves.

Planning Director Kaye Simonson said staff would be putting together a draft ordinance for the council´s consideration.

She noted that not all of the council members were on board but they at least wanted to examine the concept.

Developers would be charged fees when applying for a building permit.

Infrastructure projects could include sidewalks, parking and an upgrade for the Altaville sewer line.
