Frog Auction Proves Good For Bret Harte

Angels Camp, CA — Nearly $6,000 has been donated to Bret Harte High School thanks to sales from the Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce frog auction.

Last year the chamber organized the 28 Painted Frogs of Calaveras, which culminated in a dinner auction at the county fairgrounds. Oversized ceramic frogs were sponsored by local businesses, decorated and auctioned off for charity.

The Copper Creek Equestrian Ranch chose Bret Harte´s FFA Program for its nearly $3,000 frog proceeds. Likewise Ron Sellick Construction donated its $3,000 to the school´s Art Program.

Interim Superintendent Ron Lewis said he´s grateful for such a giving community.
