Update at 11:40am: While there was hope that Old Priest Grade would open by noon today, the public works department reports that it remains icy, so the road will remain closed indefinitely. New Priest Grade is the alternate route.
Original story posted at 8:38am: Groveland, CA — Those heading to and from the Groveland area will need to use New Priest Grade this morning.
The Tuolumne County Public Works Department reports that Old Priest Grade is closed due to icy conditions. The county road supervisor is hoping that warmer weather allows for the reopening of Old Priest Grade by noontime.
