Angels Camp To Name New Police Chief In 12 Days

Angels Camp, CA — According to retiring Police Chief Tony Tacheria, the city of Angels Camp will name his successor Tuesday, December 18 at a 6pm City Council meeting at the Angels Camp Fire Station on Hwy 4.

The original field was narrowed to three finalists from Oakland, Delano and Turlock. Tacheria says the City Council must approve of the selected individual and that announcement will be made on the 18th.

As for his future, Tacheria admits he has a number of options, but at this time he is remaining mum on what is next for him.

Tacheria will leave office one month shy of six years on the job. He has 11 officers (including himself) with a total staff of 16.
