University Of California Will Study Effects Of Rising Temperatures In Sierra Nevada

Merced, Ca — The University of California, Merced will soon begin a project that will investigate the effects of rising temperatures on rain and snowfall in the Sierra Nevada.

The school has announced that it has received a $4.6 million grant from the National Science Foundation to conduct the project. They will also look at how the changes affect the local ecosystem and the state´s water systems.
