Columbia Airport Taxiway Construction To Start Monday

Sonora, CA — The Tuolumne County Board of Supervisors has unanimously approved a $142,000 fee for Stantec Consulting for design and construction inspection services of Taxiway Charlie at the Columbia Airport.

In addition the Supervisors approved a $381,802 contract with Teichert Construction for the 1,700 foot extension of Taxiway Charlie and the relocation

of the 1,100 foot T.U.D. waterline which is located where new hangers will be constructed is scheduled to start Monday.

Thanks to FAA and Caltrans grants the county will only pay 2.3% of the total construction cost.
