Sonora Teacher Remembered With Memorial

Sonora, Ca — Ron Arington´s memory will live on with an engraved plaque that is now permanently on display at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.

A large crowd was on hand at a ceremony held this afternoon in recognition. Arrington was a respected and well known teacher. He met an untimely death in 2004.

“I cherish every minute that we´ve been able to spend with these loving members of our community,” says Ron´s wife Terri who was on hand for today´s ceremony.

After moving from Modesto, Arington lived in Columbia for 30 years. For 28 years, he taught agriculture at Sonora High School.

An American flag was raised in honor of Arington. That flag flew over our nation´s Capitol on May 29th marking Arington´s birthday.
