Crews Respond To Vegetation Fires In Calaveras And Amador Counties

Valley Springs, Ca — It is shaping up to be a busy afternoon for fire crews in the Mother Lode.

According to CAL Fire, there are currently five separate vegetation fires in Calaveras County, all of which are near the Paloma Rd. and Watertown Rd area. There are five more across the border in Amador County near that same region. According to a CAL Fire Spokesperson, no structures are in the path of these fires. She notes that there is no acreage estimate at this time, as crews are just arriving on scene. Fires are moving at a moderate rate of spread.
