Calaveras Supes Study Forest Funds

San Andreas, CA — The Calaveras County Board of Supervisors has a light agenda Tuesday but it does include a study session on Federal Forest Reserve Funds.

At 11 a.m. the board will discuss how to spend close to $53,000 from the reserve funds.

The County Office of Education, Sheriff´s Department and Calaveras Foothills Firesafe Council submitted projects, which total $63,000. To help the board make its decision the groups will provide an accounting for previous year´s projects.

And after the board meeting, at 11:30 a.m. Supervisors will head to the Metropolitan in San Andreas for the annual Senior Citizen of The Year Luncheon. The names of the two seniors who have been selected this year are kept secret until the lunch.
