San Andreas, CA — Details are now emerging in an embezzlement scandal involving the Calaveras County Public Works Department.
Investigators arrested supervisor Dave Sanders, mechanic Lee Rhodes and supervisor Edwin Hoag III.
Sanders provided a tip that led to Rhodes´ arrest for stealing a surplus county truck. Rhodes then told investigators that Sanders was also stealing county property including tires and cement building blocks.
During the investigation Hoag was arrested for delaying information and concealing evidence.
No other arrests are anticipated at this time.
