Sonora Teen Charged With Burglary

Sonora, Ca — A 19 year old Sonora man has been arrested for his alleged connection to a pair of burglaries at a residence in Cedar Ridge.

On April 8, and again on April 13, thousands of dollars worth of auto parts, tools and other items were taken from a house in the 22900 block of Kewin Mill. Investigation at the scene of the two incidents revealed a description of a suspect and his vehicle.

Today, Detectives Zach Gorton and Greg Rogers were in Columbia looking for the vehicle. They spotted a blue Ford Ranger, which matched the description, parked in the lot of R&L Mini Mart.

The owner, Mathew Raydale Richison, was then contacted. In his truck, the detectives discovered property that matched the description of items stolen. After a witness responded and positively identified Richison as the one seen taking the items from the residence, he was arrested and transported to the county jail. He remains in custody with a $50,000 bail.
