Copperopolis, CA — A 44-year old Copperopolis woman was the victim of a sexual assault Thursday.
Calaveras County Deputies say after a report of sexual assault, the victim was taken to Mark Twain St. Joseph´s Hospital and later to UC Davis Medical Center for follow up treatment.
Further investigation identified 36-year old Ronald D. Garrido Hernandez of Redwood City as the suspect.
The matter is still under investigation. Hernandez is in Calaveras County Jail on $100,000 bail.
