Early Start Offers Services For Special Needs Children

Sonora, CA — Children that were born with special needs may be eligible to receive services through the Tuolumne County Early Start program.

Executive Director Jan Kearns says that Early Start is a multi-agency collaborative effort designed to provide early intervention services to infants and toddlers from birth until age three.

This includes children that have Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, delays in talking or walking, vision or hearing loss, or other physical/health problems.

Early Start is a free program and is designed to simplify the process of getting help by providing one-step referral and identification.

For additional information, contact Tuolumne County Early Start Office at 532-2752 or the Tuolumne County SELPA at 536?2040.
