“Complete The Dream” Underway At Sonora High School

Sonora, CA — The “Complete The Dream” fundraiser at Sonora High School is well underway.

According to Principal Todd Dearden the purpose of “Complete The Dream” is to add new lighting, a synthetic track and an entryway to Dunlavy Field.

The lighting, expected to cost in the neighborhood of $200,000 plus, must come first as the current poles that block much of the fans´ view have to be removed in order to install the track.

There are a number of ways in which the community can donate to the project. $20.00 T-shirts donated by Mother Lode Motors (Trek For The Track) are available. In addition there will be a new car drawing at the last home football game of the year, Friday, Oct. 31 (Halloween) when the Wildcats host East Union of Manteca. Also Sonora area businesses can display a “Complete The Dream” donation bucket.

Individuals who donate $5,000 or more will have their name or business engraved on a bronze plaque that will be a part of a monument in the new entryway. Donations can be made to the Sonora High School/Track Fund (Attn; Nancie Weiser), 430 N. Washington St., Sonora, CA 95370.
