Angels Camp To Host Calaveras County Economic Revitalization Summit

Angels Camp, CA — The Calaveras County Chamber of Commerce, joining with the County and the City of Angels Camp, will be sponsoring the inaugural Economic Revitalization Summit Friday from 8am until 5:30pm at Bret Harte High School.

According to Chamber Executive Director Diane Gray the Summit is the result of a tremendous effort from many individuals working together with a common goal of achieving an agreed upon future of economic diversity for Calaveras County.

The Summit will consist of panel discussions with moderators focusing on the seven primary areas of concern: Tourism, Agriculture and Natural Resources, Retail, Industry & Emerging Technology, Professional Services, Infrastructure and Quality of Life.

In each of these tracks there will also be group work to develop an understanding of present realities and then to build a picture of a more desirable future. The morning panels will focus on an assessment of the assets and liabilities in each area and the afternoon sessions will explore opportunities.

The aim of the Summit is to develop a common vision with Next Steps and then form a cohesive team to move forward. The guest speaker will be California Business Minute´s Tim Johnson who will speak on “Some Assembly Required.”

Advance reservations must be made to the Chamber at (209) 736-2580. The cost is $25 per person.
