Oak Tree Ordinance On Tuolumne County Supervisors Agenda

Sonora, CA — A second reading of an ordinance amending the Tuolumne County Ordinance Code by adding a new Chapter (9.24) to discourage the premature removal of native oak trees and to establish penalties, mitigation requirements and an enforcement procedure for the premature removal of oak trees will be discussed at today´s supervisors meeting.

At 10:30 this morning there will be a public hearing to consider submission of a Community Development Block Grant application of $500,000 for job training, food bank, senior meals and the Groveland Senior Center. In addition there will be possible allocation of program income reuse funds for these activities.
