San Andreas, CA — 20 year old Vanessa Diego of Stockton was the Monday driver of a 2003 Chevy that was involved in a single vehicle accident on Hwy 4 east of Hunt Rd. minutes before 4pm.
Due to her unsafe speed, Diego failed to negotiate a sharp left hand curve. The vehicle left the highway, struck a rock embankment and rolled over suffering major damage.
According to the CHP report 17 year old passenger Danielle Lao, also of Stockton, suffered partially severed fingers on her right hand. She was treated in Modesto.
