Sonora, CA — The spontaneous combustion of a bag of fertilizer and dried potting soil was the cause of a early Sunday morning fire that totally destroyed the deck of a residence at 9061 Fraguero Rd. off Hwy 49 in Tuolumne County.
The fire was reported at 4:53am, contained at 5:17am and closed at 7:16am. A Sonora City Fire Department engine responded along with a Groveland engine.
No injuries were reported.
