Memorable Mother Lode Round-Up

Sonora, Ca — Rodeo fans had picture perfect weather and witnessed many of the top competitors in the region at the 51st annual Mother Lode Round-Up.

The two day event came to a close Sunday evening at the Mother Lode Fairgrounds.

Big winners in the PRCA events included Joaquin Real of Caliente, CA, who took top prize in the Saddle Bronc Riding Competition. Seth Glause of Rock Springs, WY was the overall winner in Bull Riding, Cade Swor of Chico, TX in the Tie Down Roping division, Levi Rosser of Gridley, CA in Steer Wrestling, Jessy Davis of Payson, UT in Bareback Riding and Christina Richman of Glendora, CA in Barrel Racing. In the Team Roping competition, the winners were Toby Trammell of Snyder, TX and J.W. Borrego of Pueblo West, CO.

The Local Calf Scramble winners were Reiley Wivell and Tanner Neal. Garrett Kiernan and Greg Stokes finished first in the Local Team Roping event.

Other highlights included a performance by the Riata Ranch Cowboy Girls, who did a variety of trick roping techniques.
