Over 50 Residents Attend Murphys Community Club Town Hall Meeting

Murphys, Ca — Development, wine and adventure were the principal topics at the Murphys Community Club Town Hall Meeting Tuesday evening at the Native Daughters Hall on Main St.

Board Member Joanna Reagan says the primary purpose was for people to get together and hear about new happenings in Murphys straight from leaders in the community.

Guests included longtime Calaveras County winemaker Chuck Hovey, who spoke on the growth of the wine industry over the past 20 years. Hovey noted that the wine community has become much more sophisticated, and he expects the trend to grow into the future.
