Winter Storm Warning To Last Until Midnight

Sacramento, CA — The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Mother Lode and the Sierra Nevada and this will remain in effect until midnight tonight.

Snow levels could fall low enough to dust all of Tuolumne and Calaveras counties. The foothills could see several inches as low as 2,000 feet. Six to 12 inches of total snow accumulation is expected at 3,000 feet. Two to three feet of snow is possible above 3,000 feet. Wind gusts could hit the 50mph mark over the highere elevations.

Following this storm a hard freeze warning will go into effect for Tuesday from 2 to 9am. Temperatures could fall into the low 20’s throughout most of the MotherLode. A hard freeze warning has been issued from Tuesday night through Wednesday morning.
