New Lights Are Set For Dunlavy Field

Sonora, CA — Sonora High School has finalized plans for the new lighting system for Dunlavy Field.

According to Principal Todd Dearden, “We have finally raised enough money to purchase the lights. The lights are out of D.S.A. (Department of State Architect). They have been approved so we have placed an order to purchase the lights and they are being fabricated right now so we will have them ready to be installed. Sometime during the winter months we’ll put in some bases and platforms and then in the summer months put up the light structures and take out the old lights.

The total cost of the project is $250,000. We have written a check for the lights themselves for $132,000. The balance will take care of the installation.”
